At the Entrance to Wertheimpark:

Wertheimpark is a tiny and lovely patch of green in the city; it's also the only park in Amsterdam that is officially located in the 'Center'. Unassuming, uncrowded, and unbelievably-quiet: I adore those marble sphinx statues at its entrance, quite a bit. They make me incredibly happy. These days I have been running down Plantage Middenlaan quite often, in the morning, before starting my day. These sphinx statues watch over the entrance to the minuscule park's gardens, as the world passes by.
