These past few weeks have been tumultuous. Studying and working and living and loving absorbs me; all combined, they're proving to be agreeable, now that this dualistic life of mine has fully begun. As the city's leaves begin to drop, I'm making sure to take the time to stop and pause whenever the rich hues of the autumn foliage take my breath away. Which, happily, occurs quite often. This past weekend, while flittering about the city, I noticed quite a few favorite trees of mine; those that have been slowly revealing themselves to me since August. These trees continue to cast off their leaves as the seasons march forward toward winter. Autumnal is the current state of this city. But for how much longer that status is applicable, remains to be seen. In only a few more weeks, barren of leaves the trees of Amsterdam will all be.
